This feature allows you to create up to 100 weekly Business Schedules, which you can then assign to individual directory numbers (DN) listed in the Call Rerouting form. The system uses the time of day and the assigned business schedule (not the system's Day/Night Service schedule) to determine which of the three possible Call Rerouting Always Alternatives should be applied to the particular destination DN. If you do not assign a business schedule to a DN, then the Reroute Always alternate follows the system's Day/Night Service schedule.
The system uses the destination DN's time zone, referenced by the system zone, when determining the appropriate business mode and call reroute alternate.
Each business schedule allows you to
configure alternate destinations at different times of the day, seven days of week and holidays;
assign one of the following business modes for each selected time period: Day, Night1, Night2.
NOTE: The default setting for a blank schedule is Night1; you can define up to 15 Day/Night2 business time periods per day. Each day is divided into 96 15-min time slots.
You can also use one of the business schedules (as assigned in the System Options form) to modify the system's Day/Night service. In this scenario, the selected business schedule uses the time zone of the local MiVoice Business, as defined in Configuration > Date and Time in the Server Manager (for all platforms except Container-based MiVoice Business (cMiVB)). For Container-based MiVoice Business (cMiVB), you can set the date and time through Solution Manager > Time Zone.
Business schedules are intended mainly for group pilot numbers, but can be assigned to any DN in the Call Rerouting form that support Call Rerouting Always.
Extensions cannot view the current business mode or change the schedule. Business schedules can be created, modified and assigned only through the ESM forms. See Programming.
After a system restore, if the status of the Day/Night Service is different than the restored business schedule assigned to control it, the system day/night service is updated to correspond with the business schedule.
Business schedules times are based on the host MiVoice Business time zone as specified in Configuration > Date and Time in the Server Manager (for all deployments except Container-based MiVoice Business (cMiVB)) (cluster time) or through Solution Manager > Time Zone for Container-based MiVoice Business (cMiVB). For local MiVoice Business, you can assign its own Network Zone and the associated time zone - different from the cluster time zone.
When the system date and/or time changes, the running business schedule data is updated to reflect the change.
Groups and devices (including Ring Groups, Hunt Groups, and ACD Paths) can also be assigned time zones different from their host controller. Business schedules are applied to such groups and devices based on their own time zone.
NOTES
ACD Express Groups are always configured with NIL Zone ID; therefore, when applying a business schedule to an ACD Express Group, the system uses the zone ID (and related time zone) assigned to the hosting MiVoice Business.
For calls to the PRG or MdUG prime, the system uses the zone ID of the prime member to determine the appropriate time zone offset when applying a business schedule. For direct calls to PRG non-prime members, the zone ID of the called member is used (MdUG non-prime members cannot be called directly).
For calls to the Suite or Multi-device Suite pilot number, the system uses the zone ID of the prime (first programmed) member to determine the appropriate time zone offset when applying a business schedule. For direct calls to Suite members, the zone ID of the called member is used (Multi-device Suite members, including the first programmed, cannot be called directly).
Hot Desk Users (HDU) and External HDUs (EHDU) logged in to a MiNET device use their registration DN's zone: either the zone from the location specification data OR the zone based on the configured zone access method. HDUs not logged in or externally logged in EHDUs use the zone obtained by their configured zone access method.
When groups and devices are in different time zone than their host controller, the system adjusts the 15-min interval time with an offset to account for the time zone difference.
When time zones change to/from day light saving time, time offsets between the system time and the impacted network zones are updated.
